Cold has descended over this world and it’s starting to freeze our hearts. Every day we find a new reason to be afraid, a new reason to grow more apart from each other. All that happens seems meant to divide us, but it doesn’t need to be this way. We need to keep hope alive, even when reality leaves no room for it.
What we keep in our hearts can make or break this world. That is why we need to fill our souls with all that is good, fill them until they overflow and transform everything around us. There is no need to fight all our fights alone, even if some are only for us. For the others is fine to ask for help. There are enough people in the world that want to help.
Finding balance in life is hard. Most of us tend to favor only a few aspects of it and leave the others aside. This way is good because we don’t want the same things as individuals. When we start dismissing aspects that are important, that’s when our problems start.
We might not be aware, but we need human contact and we want our opinions to be validated. We want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Sometimes we end up chasing things that are not good for us only because we don’t know better.
A good attitude for life is to have trust in ourselves and our opinions and decisions but to understand that we don’t know everything and we will never know everything.
When the world outside turns dark, we need not let the darkness in. This is a hard thing to do because it’s enticing and many of us are weak. We go about life with the belief that we are not good enough, that we need to be like someone else, not knowing that our only obligation is to be ourselves.
We need to do all we know to discover what we do best and share that with the world. Not doing this is the only failure that matters. All others are learning opportunities.
By settling for less than we can be, we deprive ourselves of a fulfilled life, and we deny the world our contribution. Each of us has moments when we think we are not important, but that is a lie. We are important, even if we are unaware, and by living the best life we can live, we inspire others to do the same.
