Success and failure

The roads to success and failure don’t look that much different. What is different are the decisions you make along the way.

In your life there will be suffering, there is no hiding from this. Sometimes it will be your fault and sometimes it won’t, but it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is what will you do when met with suffering.

Your first instinct will be to run from it, and it might work, but most of the time you will have to endure until is gone. Keep in mind that suffering is a lot easier to endure if you know why you suffer for.

When trying to move forward, your path might take you away from the main road. You can either get lost in the woods or learn new things that are going to be useful further along when you find your way back to the main road.

You may fail more times than you succeed, it’s kind of a guarantee, but if you learn to take your strength from the struggle, your failures will end up helping you get the success you’ve been looking for.

We all wish for things to fall into our lap, to win with not much effort, but real life is nothing like that. The wins come as results of failure, struggle, and loss.

Of course, you can get lost in the struggle, you can be overwhelmed by suffering, and you can fail for nothing, but you can also use all these to become stronger than you ever thought you could be and succeed in whatever matters to you.

In life, there will be times when everything seems to be stacked against you, when all that you do seems to yield no results. Don’t worry, this is only temporary. These moments are inevitable, but you can always learn from them. The most important things you can learn are patience and persistence. These two can help you push through any difficult situation.

I know it’s not easy to have patience when you worked for so long, yet the results are nowhere to be seen, or they are not at the level you expected. But what choice do you have? Can you go back and change things, so you can make faster progress? What is left is to look forward, improve on what you know and keep working until the results you want show up.

There is no guarantee for success, but this does not mean that you shouldn’t go after it. It only means that you will have to trust your destination and trust yourself on the journey to get there.

The only guaranteed thing on the way to success is that you will be met with resistance, and things will not go as planned. This is natural, and your only choice is to deal with it. Only in doing so you learn, you become better, and in truth, this is what success means.

My opinion is that you don’t need to be like someone else, to be successful. All you need to do is to work towards your dreams, with patience and persistence, even when you see no sign of progress.

The work and effort you put in are never without results. At least, with each day you will become better than the one you were yesterday, and no one can take that from you.
