You already know

You already know what to do, so why is it so hard to do it? For a long time, you’ve been turning this on all sides trying to figure out what’s the best thing to do, but there was no action.

Many of the things you learned through this process are useful, some of them are unexpected, but none of them means anything if it doesn’t move you into action. Through this process of self discovery, you have learned a number of solutions to your problem. You have learned what specific actions can stop your progress and why that is.

Unfortunately, when it comes to your choices you are not as disciplined as you saw yourself to be. For someone who has many solutions to the problem they are facing, you choose to keep looking for a better solution, instead of trying one that you already know about.

The solution you use doesn’t always have to be the best one ever. There’s no such thing. Your solution needs to work and it has to make things better. Every problem that you are met with can be solved. Yes, some will be harder to solve than others, but none of them can be solved by just thinking about them.

You have only one way to make things better, and that is to put to work all you have learned, take action, and solve this problem.

Stop trying to do so many things at once. Haven’t you figured out that this is the reason why you’re not making progress? Your energy is spread too thin, and your mind is trying to do too much at once. This creates pressure that makes everything harder, a lot harder than it needs to be.

Learn how to focus on one thing at a time. It doesn’t mean that you are less productive, on the contrary, it might increase your productivity. It will increase your efficiency for sure.

When working on many things at the same time you are under the impression that you can save time. In truth, you are wasting most of the time by going from one thing to another, and by the end of the day, you realize that you’ve made a lot less progress than you planned.

Next time, take things step by step. Solve the first thing and then go to the next. It might take a long time to finish each of the things you are working on, but in working on one at a time, progress will stack up faster, and this will provide motivation for the next step.

You need to make things easier for yourself and this means not working on many things at the same time. One thing at a time requires a lot less effort to work on, and it can be done in a shorter time than when working on something else.

From those many things that you have to do, choose one and start on it. Don’t give it up until it is done. When finished, go to the next.
