You feel asleep even when your eyes are wide open. All of your senses are numbed by the way you chose to live life. It’s not that your life is not good but you no longer feel excitement for anything. You watch what is happening with no desire to be part of it.
You long for a little excitement in your life, while at the same time, you are afraid to change the way things are. There is no way to live both ways. At a certain moment, you’ll have to decide what is more painful, to stay in the same place that no longer fits you, but you know everything about it, or to go for something new and embrace the unknown.
Leaving behind all that you know is terrifying, but if you are true to yourself, it is the only way for you to follow what you feel inside. That feeling inside your heart is why you feel estranged from your current life. It’s trying to tell you that it’s time for a change and that even if you are afraid, you are ready for it.
Understand that you are not giving up anything in exchange for this new path, you are only evolving into something new, but it will still be you. The world will accept you either way. Your evolution is not a requirement for the world to accept you, but it is a requirement for you to accept that you are worth something.
Go with what makes you feel alive even if you are afraid, and trust that you will learn what needs to be done at the right time.
Don’t you think it’s time you did something? The last few years you’ve been thinking about what you should do, why you should do it, and how you should do it, but did nothing. From now on, your plans need to be acted on. Start with small steps and focus on making progress.
All your overthinking won’t make things happen. It is your actions that matter. Once you start putting things together you need to make them real, and they won’t become real if you only keep them in your mind. In your mind, everything fits together perfectly, but when you bring things into the real world, there will be many aspects to correct.
A lot of work will be involved in building what in your mind is already completed, but work is not enough without a plan or a strategy. Overthinking won’t make things real, but at least, it helped you identify many of the possible problems, and it gives you a starting point.
What you have to do now is adapt to the new conditions, and move on from there. This is something that you’ll have to do constantly. In order to get to this point, the first step is to act on those thoughts that are keeping you awake. Only when you learn to act on what is important to you, your thoughts will become fuel for your actions, and that is what will always push you forward.
